इच्छाओं से कैसे निपटें : How to deal with desires

मित्रो !

     किसी कार्य को करने के लिए आवश्यक साधन, सामर्थ्य और ज्ञान के होते हुए भी, इच्छा और इच्छाशक्ति के बिना, न तो कार्य प्रारम्भ किया जा सकता है और न ही कोई अधूरा कार्य पूरा किया जा सकता है। 

       इच्छा रहित क्रियाशील जीवन की कल्पना नहीं की जा सकती। प्रत्येक बुद्धिमान व्यक्ति को चाहिए कि वह उपयुक्त और अनुपयुक्त इच्छाओं में विभेद करे और तदुपरान्त उसे चाहिए कि वह उपयुक्त इच्छाओं पर अमल करे और अनुपयुक्त इच्छाओं को दफ़न कर दे।

     One cannot think of an active life without desires. A person should differentiate in between appropriate and inappropriate desires and thereafter, he should work on appropriate desires and should bury dead the inappropriate desires.

 मित्रो !

         बोल-चाल बंद होने की स्थिति में जीवन में कटुता भर जाती है। इससे गलतफहमियां पैदा होतीं हैं और रिस्तो में दरार पड़  जाती है। मनुष्य को चाहिए कि वह ऐसी स्थिति उत्पन्न न होने दे और अगर ऐसी स्थिति उत्पन्न हो गयी है तब इससे निकलने के लिए सार्थक प्रयास करे।

GOAL OF LIFE

Friends !

             If goal of human life is limited to caring and feeding this mortal body nicely and to give birth to new generations then objective of life of animals, who apart from discharging all these functions also oblige human beings by giving so many things for their use and consumption, is bigger than the objective of human life. 

            We get milk from milch cattle, carnivores get their food, many animals are used for riding and carrying load and many are used for agricultural work, we get garments, foot-wears, belts, wallets, bags, etc. made of animal skins, skins are also used as water containers, we get glue, gelatin and fat, we get toys made of horns, teeth and bones, medicines for many diseases are prepared from cow urine and cow dung, villagers use dung of pet animals as fuel, dung is also used for preparing fuel gas. Many wild animals are used for entertainment, skins of many animals are used for decoration, we get organic fertilizer, blood of some animals is also used, tests of so many medicines are done on animals. Animals and birds as also insects and worms play important role in maintaining ecology balance. We also get numerous other benefits from animals, birds and other creatures. 

  Animals oblige men while living and after their death too but it is the man whose skin is of no use. 

जीवन का लक्ष्य : Goal of Life

मित्रो !

     यदि मानव जीवन का लक्ष्य इस नश्वर शरीर का अच्छी तरह भरण-पोषण और देखभाल करने तथा संतति को आगे बढ़ाने तक ही सीमित है तब इससे बड़ा उद्देश्य तो पशु जीवन का है जो इन कार्यों के अतिरिक्त मनुष्य को उसके उपयोग और उपभोग की अनेक वस्तुएं देकर मनुष्य को उपकृत करते हैं।

दुधारू पशुओं से दूध मिलता है, मांसाहारियों को भोजन मिलता है, अनेक पशु सबारी करने, बोझा ढोने और कृषि के काम में आते हैं, पशुओं के चमड़े से बनी अनेक वस्तुएं गारमेंट्स, जूते, बेल्ट, पर्स, थैले, आसन, आदि मिलतीं हैं, खालें कॉन्टेनर के रूप में भी प्रयोग की जातीं हैं, जिलेटिन, ग्लू, चर्बी मिलते हैं, सींग, दांत, हड्डियों के खिलौने बनते हैं। गाय के मूत्र और गोबर से अनेक रोंगो की दवाइयां बनतीं हैं। पालतू पशुओं का गोबर गाँव में ईंधन के रूप में या ईंधन गैस बनाने में प्रयोग होता है। अनेक जंगली जानबर मनोरंजन के लिए प्रयोग किये जाते हैं। आर्गेनिक अनेक जानबरों की खालें सजावट के लिए प्रयोग की जातीं है।खाद मिलती है। कुछ जानबरों का खून भी प्रयोग में आता है। दवाइयों के अनुसंधान में अनेक दवाइयों के टेस्ट कुछ जानबरों पर किये जाते हैं। अनेक दवाइयां भी बनतीं है। जानबर, पशु-पक्षी, कीड़े मकोड़े पर्यावरण के संतुलन में महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभाते हैं। 

इस प्रकार पशु जीवित रहते और जीवन समाप्त होने के बाद भी मनुष्य पर उपकार करते हैं किन्तु एक मनुष्य है जिसकी खाल किसी काम नहीं आती है।
